Well Done D

Been a busy day today, when I arrived home my little fella D wanted to go fishing, the forecast was for heavy showers but the weather looked lovely so of we went, the last time he went he manged two grayling on the dry, so I thought I would try him on a different technique, he’s not to impressed with nymph fishing as he can’t see what’s going on, so I thought he could try Duo, I put him a klink and one of my small black nymphs, we haven’t really worked on casting as I want to keep it fun and not a lesson ,with in ten minutes he had a pull on the nymph only the fish was on and gone but it had got his interest going, I carried on giving him a few pointers and then my phone rang  and I spent a few minutes chatting on the phone, when D said dad I’ve got one the fish was racing around in the fast water, so time to hang up and land the fish for him, quite a nice grayling on the nymph, he remembered all the things to do and how to play the fish, so dad was very proud indeed.

If you’re wondering about his sunglasses , he had them on top of his head for the photo and then they slipped down and not quite in the right place, but he’s a good boy and always wears glasses when he’s fishing, so he must listen to me sometimes !
